Fitness Friday

So I know I didn't post fitness Friday last week and I didn't do it today and I'm sorry! :(

It has been a crazy couple of weeks and I fell off the wagon, I gained 2 pounds :(

So today I ordered Turbo Jam from Beach Body and I am super excited to get it next week! I did my research and I think this is the best option for me at this point. I have been running but I need new running shoes and since I live in a podunk town I have to drive and hour to get to a decent shoe store. Hopefully I'll be able to go soon and get some new ones bc mine just ain't cutting it, I got a blister wed!

So anyways I will be updating my progress and will once again be hosting a fitness Friday!

Fitness Friday #3

So its that time again, time for Fitness Friday with yours truly and Kelly @ Today Was A Fairytale!

I am super excited to share my journey with you guys again this week!


Starting weight: 232 

Today’s weight: 225

Difference from last week: -1 pounds

Total weight loss: 7 pounds

What I found easy this week: I found it pretty easy to eat healthy, but I have had some cravings that I had to make sure to not give into. I have also been eating out alot and still losing weight and eating pretty decent! I have been keeping up with all my food in MyFitnessPal as well! You can follow me @ PurpleBug23

What I found hard this week: I didn't get to exercise again this week due to some severe headaches. Hopefully I can start next week on the Couch25K. I have been craving chips like crazy this week! I am trying not to eat any so in a couple of weeks I wont crave them anymore! So I have indulged in my cravings just once, but i have been feeling hungry a lot more lately and im having to really withstand temptation.

Goal for next week: is to eat healthy while my little cousins are visiting and not overindulge!
My first goal: 30 pounds

My Reward: a new tattoo!


So I am almost to a 10 pound weight loss and I think im gonna reward myself with something nice for it too, but somewhat cheap! Dunno what yet, but I will let y'all know!

Fitness Friday

So today is another episode of Fitness Friday with Kelly @Today Was A Fairytale and myself!


Starting weight: 232 

Today’s weight: 226

Difference from last week: -3 pounds

Total weight loss: 6 pounds

What I found easy this week: I found it pretty easy to eat healthy, but I have had some cravings that I had to make sure to not give into. I have been keeping up with all my food in MyFitnessPal as well! You can follow me @ PurpleBug23

Fitness Friday

Ok everybody so today is the finally the day!!!!!!!

Today is the first official day of Fitness Friday, the link up with me and Kelly of Today Was A Fairytale 


Ok so here is the format:

Starting weight: 232 

Today’s weight: 229

Difference from last week: -3 pounds

What I found easy this week: I found it pretty easy to eat healthy, but I have had some cravings that I had to make sure to not give into. I crave salty, crunchy food, (ie. chips, fries, and chicken nuggets) I have done well though and have only had fries once! Yay go me! I have been keeping up with all my food in MyFitnessPal as well!

What I found hard this week: I didn't get to exercise this week because of a migraine that lasted since sunday till today, so I had wanted to start the Couch25K but I will hopefully get to start next week. 
Goal for next week: to exercise at least 4 days next week running! Wish me luck because i'm gonna need it!

Week 1 Day 1

So today begins my workout regimen and overall new lifestyle! I am very happy to be finally doing this. I have been in better shape before and was exercising and losing weight great!  I had lost about 30 pounds and I was loving life and then I got into nursing school and BAM! It all came back and more!

I am fixing to start my brand new big girl job sometime this week, hopefully! I am super excited, but this is my push to start losing weight! So I have signed up with myfitnesspal and have began the Couch25K program. It monitors my food intake, my exercise progress, and my water intake. I am very happy to have help with through this program. If anybody else has any other good programs to try let me know! I am trying to make a lifestyle change not a diet. My mom has diabetes and we do not know where she got it from, bc she was not overweight, so we think it may be genetic and that is not comforting. I need to make a lifestyle change to lower my chances of getting it. So I am working my butt off, literally, and figuratively to lower my chances as much as possible. 

Ok onto happier topics, I have got some new clothes for my new job! All I need now is some new shoes to top it off!

Cold, Rainy Monday

Hello bloggy world!! Oh how I have missed you! So I was out of town for the weekend and missed reading everyones blogs and getting to write to all you fabulous ladies! So I was at my sisters last weekend visiting with her, my BIL, and niece and nephew for our Christmas time with them. We had a good time and I especially enjoyed spending time with my niece! She wouldn't let me out of her sight and followed me everywhere. We played all weekend and I showed her how to work the present we had gotten her for Christmas. She absolutely loved it! She is very artistic and loves anything to do with drawing and coloring, so we got her a glow in the dark drawing board with lights on it. My nephew loved his hot wheels cars and new race track he got. I was sad to leave my niece and she was sad for me to leave too, but I told her to call me to tell me what santa brought her for Christmas! 


On another note, I have been working out for a week and watching what I eat and I have lost (drum roll please) 2 pounds!! I am so excited! This definitely gives me the motivation I needed to go for my run today with the weather the way it is, bc all I wanna do right now is sleep, read, and watch movies (perfect day for all). But in lieu of having lost 2 pounds I am going to lug myself off the couch and put on my running shoes and hit the treadmill. 


So with that last thought I reckon I better get off of here and get to running (joy not), so wish me luck and I will keep everyone in the loop on my weight loss journey!
